The physics looked possible, if still improbable. Sprite’s idea could theoretically work, but she would have to hit the armorcoptor just right to make it happen. It wasn’t easy, but it was the only option she had.

Then Sprite’s system went off, alarms blaring. She checked the readout. Someone had snatched her faerie’s signal. She had dampeners and rerouts, but someone with skills would have Sprite’s transmission location soon. She had this warning as a bailout. But if Sprite cut contact now, she would lose control of the faerie and who knew what would happen to Turtle.

Then another alarm!
