She was a living nightmare. None had ever seen a vampire so easily vanquished nor a foe more confident.

Someone yelled open fire, but by the time the words were spoken, Clara had already worked her blades through a dozen men, swords flashing in the dim light, more blood spraying, coating the floors and walls, men screaming, the last sounds they made on this mortal plane.

Before any had gained the fortitude to pull a trigger, the nightmare had nearly killed them all. Cutting the last of them in half, Clara began to search for Randal’s prison cell in earnest.
