Clara stood back, not believing her own eyes. The Special was taking on three of the front vampires, deflecting blow after blow with his long knives, following each defensive move with his own offensive strike, finding home and slowly bleeding these vampires out.

A vampire from the back knocked another of his own aside and attacked the Special. His blow surprised Ran, knocking his short blade from his hand. Randal kicked aside a vampire behind him, grabbing the other’s hand holding the sword. With a quick, hard motion, Randal cut off this hand at the wrist with his remaining sword.
